Regev is a PI (Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor) at the Department of Human Genetics and Computational Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and at the Blavatnik School of Computer Science & AI at Tel Aviv University.
He is currently Principal Scientist at MyHeritage. He is also consulting to several biotech companies in subjects of data analysis, modeling and genetics. Before, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, with Prof. Richard Durbin; completed his PhD at the School of Computer Science at Tel-Aviv University under the supervision of Prof. Eran Halperin; and his M.Sc with Prof. Michal Linial and Prof. Nati Linial at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Tal is a Computer Science graduate student in a direct PhD track, supported by The Center for AI & Data Science at Tel Aviv University. He completed his Bachelor's at Tel Aviv University in Computer Science and Mathematics, graduating with distinction in Computer Science.
Tal is also a hobbyist musician, an alumni of the Jazz Institute program at Rimon School of Music.
