We study genetic variation through the lens of computational and population genetics, to uncover the processes that shape genetic variation - from deep evolutionary history to molecular mechanisms.
To do so, we develop theory and algorithms, drawing on both classical models and modern machine learning approaches; and analyse data from cutting-edge sequencing technologies.
Starting October 2025, Regev Schweiger will be a Senior Lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences at the Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Science and at the Blavatnik School of Computer Science and AI.
